Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalm 139 (by Sing the KJV)

A lovely lullaby to play to your newborn and babies while they sleep and play.

Remember the Word of God has power and it’s important to start them early.

The story of Moses should serve as inspiration for your child. When Moses was still a baby, his parents hid him by faith. Why? Well because they saw he was a “goodly” child. They were right!

Look at how God used Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. God has a plan for each of us. It is up to us to accept his salvation by faith and then follow him in discipleship, daily walking with him.

So don’t be hesitant to start your child on the Bible early. It will encourage them so much when they need it the most in the future.

As part of the Early Childhood Development lecture series, Dr. Patricia Kuhl talks about children's ability to learn effortlessly and the importance of social interaction in the learning process. Kuhl, professor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and co-director for the UW Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences, is internationally recognized for her research on early language and brain development.”

Fine Motor Skills for Babies

Your baby learns how to control their reflexes and coordination with their hands as the months progress. Here are some videos that can inspire you with activities that will help your baby develop robust fine motor skills.

Baby Massage

Massaging your baby can relieve stress, discomfort, and constipation. Take necessary precautions before massaging your baby and make sure they are well enough to receive such contact as massages tend to boost their blood circulation, which might be detrimental in cases where your baby has a high temperature or is already unwell. Remember to always be gentle. You are the expert on your own baby.

Baby Sign Language

In order to communicate with your baby even before they are fully able to talk in a cogent way, it may be necessary to teach them their own special sign language. This helps you communicate better with your baby and helps the bond between baby and parent grow stronger. When babies feel like they’re understood, they also feel valued and this boosts their confidence.
